High-end suspension. I’ve got some Fox Remote Reservoir coilovers on my Tacoma, and besides the off-road performance, they make the thing ride like a cadillac.
That’s not to say they’re soft; I notice drastically reduced body roll in turns (no swaybars) and a tighter chassis feel in general, but I can also hit speedbumps at full speed and not feel a thing, and bumps in the road are just floated over.
I think people would be willing to pay the 1-2k premium for something like this. Maybe they can’t be mass produced easily, or their service life isn’t as long, or whatever, but I can’t ride in another truck without thinking “Damn, this rides so rough.”

Other things they need from the factory:
oil dipstick
transmission drain plug and fill hole (none of that stupid fill-for-life shit)
folding mirrors
cupholders
windows you can see out of
buttons and knobs
As far as the high-end suspension, you nailed it with the last paragraph. But the premium would likely be about twice what you think it is, especially for trucks if made to OEM standards. For example, the Raptor’s OEM Fox shocks cost at least $700 each! As opposed to $50 or less for regular truck shocks.

Raptors have FOX shocks.

I believe the ram rebel and TRD pro trucks also use fox

I have King remote resis on my Taco. I agree completely. Offroad, the difference is black and white, on road, it really softens the ride, especially if you’re rolling on harder tires. To me, stock trucks feel “bucky.” Recently rode in a new Canyon and preferred my older truck instantaneously.

Not sure about Ram, but the TRD Pro uses Bilstein.

Suspension is one thing I’ve learned to never cheap out on. Good suspension will be one of the best investments you make in any car.

The Clio 182 Trophy had that stuff from factory.

“I think people would be willing to pay the 1-2k premium for something like this.”
I think you give people too much credit. An enthusiast might go for it. But the general masses? No way.

Put enough stickers on the vehicle so everybody -knows- they paid more, and they’ll totally go for it. If Ford can sell a $70,000 F-150, they can manage a $2k “Ultimate Suspension” option package.

Yeah I just looked up the rebel and it also uses blisteins

Good points. The Raptor sells pretty well so.. Yeah, I may be wrong on this one.

I would DD the hell out of a Rally FighterFighter

But what about a Rally Rally Fighter Fighter? Or it’s competing Rally Rally Fighter Fighter fighter?

Thats like World War 5, where its so big, it completely skips over WW3 and 4!

External bypass! Now I want to see the rest of the truck!

If only they used these Bilsteins (4” diameter Bilstein Blackhawk)

How many thousand dollars would be added to the price?

Ballpark $2,000-$2,500 per shock.

I think I’m going to rule those out when the Slowrunner gets the Total Chaos long travel kit.

Could be worse. Suspension on my truck is (allegedly) $20,000 (including custom tuning), and I’ve got a friend who races SCORE class 6 who says he spent $100,000 on suspension.

It would almost be cheaper to buy a bunch of Rangers and drive them until they won’t, then repeat.

Trucks have always been hit hardest by the fact that suspensions work optimally at a single weight/use, so if you set them up for a heavy load or off road, then the ride on roads with an empty bed suffers. But now we have a way around that with magnetorheological shocks and progressive rate springs, so I’m surprised they haven’t spread to trucks as the cost has fallen. Maybe it’s a reliability/toughness issue.

Having jumped a stock BRAT, it sounds fun in thought, but is less fun in practice. I still feel it in my back on occasion, 5 years later.

Sadly this is not my truck. It's just the best photo online I could find.
